\ \ Simple, functional, effectiveAnother great product from a great optics company that helps determine distances with the simple press of a button, while keeping the form small & lightweight for backcountry applications. The DB HD 2000 version is powerful enough for longer distance ranging to suit most users, while still coming in at an affordable price point for a well-made product with the backing of a solid manufacturer based here in the USA. \ \ Reagan E.](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/646582) \ \ Light and compact The Dark Energy Poseidon Nano has quickly become one of my everyday essentials. It’s incredibly lightweight but still packs solid power—I can charge through my OhSnap mag accessory and go from around 10% to about 70% on my phone without any issues.\ Super convenient for on-the-go use, and the compact size makes it easy to keep in a purse or work bag. Honestly, I wish I had picked up two from the start.\ The long battery retention (up to 2 years) is a huge bonus, especially for emergency backup. Definitely a reliable little power bank.\ \ Sharenda B](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/642348) \ \ I probably use too often!I bought these for post workout and activity recovery for myself and my whole family. While training for a western hunt I was doing a lot rucking and weight training, I did a little A-B testing tracking recovery with and without using the normatec system, and tracked an improve feeling of recovery by a day on average. My Son really like using them after a long day of skating (play hockey) and he didn't track like I did but would agree. Don't really use the shoulder attachement much, but the legs and hop are fantastic!\ \ Lucas O.](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/633766) \ \ I'm difficult and these are AMAZINGI have worn a lot of jeans and I have tried on even more pairs. I typically find a cut and stick with them non-stop. I was wary about Ariat denim because I see so many people wearing them and they are always too relaxed fit. Until the M7! \ \ I have probably 6 pairs in different washes now. They work with boots and shoes (I get a shorter length) and they even look NICE! I got married in M7's in December and a few people thought they were suit pants they looked so good! \ \ If you like a slim but not skinny cut, with some stretch and amazing durability. Get some M7's! \ \ Tim Brehmer](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/630106) \ \ Go To FavoriteI've been using these for years years for all kind of hunting. I also store my gear with a wafer in the bins. It works great for deer season. I clip on to my pack and refresh it after a few days. Or if I'm in the blind I'll clip it on the predominant wind side to help cover my scent. Super easy to use, fits in the pack great and the clips provided work well.\ \ Cristina Jones](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/605075) \ \ Setup has been a pain...I've had these cameras now for a couple of weeks and have been working to get them set up at home prior to deployment. Activation was quick and easy. However, testing them has provided some uneven results. I have them hanging on my back fence where they are scheduled to sync twice per day and to send a photo each time they sync. One camera has worked pretty well, but not flawlessly, while the other camera has taken days to finally get its act together. I'd get notifications about low batteries, then the battery levels would suddenly be 90%. It was syncing at odd times compared to what it was scheduled to do. After several days of "soaking" on the back fence, the cameras seem to be working now, but I don't have a lot of confidence that they'll do what I need them to on a backcountry hunt where I only have a few days to hunt.\ \ James Brandenburg](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/596053) \ \ 🔴🟢 Vortex StrikeFire® II Red/Green Dot — Built for Reliability, Ready for Anything 🟢🔴I recently mounted the Vortex StrikeFire® II on my Palmetto State Armory 223 / 5.56 AR, and after a few range sessions and some dry-fire drills, I can confidently say — this optic is a beast.\ \ From the moment I unboxed it, the StrikeFire II felt like a premium product. The cantilever mount made installation a breeze, giving me optimal eye relief and keeping the rifle perfectly balanced. It co-witnesses with my backup irons seamlessly.\ \ What I love most:\ ✅ Crisp 4 MOA dot — fast to acquire, even on the move\ ✅ Red/Green dot option — a game-changer for various lighting environments\ ✅ 11 brightness settings — from low-light indoor to blazing Texas sun\ ✅ Rugged construction — holds zero like a champ, even after mag dumps and rough handling\ ✅ Battery life — 7,000+ hours on the lowest setting? Yes, please.\ \ Whether you’re running drills, prepping for home defense, or just putting rounds downrange, this optic delivers confidence. It paired up perfectly with my PSA setup, and I’m already considering another for my next build.\ \ 💥 Final Verdict: Rock-solid. Reliable. Worth every penny.\ Vortex’s lifetime warranty doesn’t hurt either — but with how tough this optic is, I doubt I’ll ever need it.\ \ Colin Nelson](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/575915) \ \ 🌿🐓 Sweet Coop® by Standlee: A Total Game-Changer for Backyard Chicken Keeping! 🐓🌿As someone raising chickens in the Texas heat, keeping the coop dry, odor-free, and comfortable was a serious challenge… until now.\ \ Sweet Coop is a miracle blend! It’s a natural moisture and odor absorber that instantly made the interior of our Smart Coop feel fresher. Within hours of sprinkling it in, any lingering smells vanished, and the air inside was noticeably cleaner. Even my wife (who’s usually not thrilled about coop chores) commented on how much better it smelled.\ \ What I love most:\ ✔️ All-natural ingredients make it safe for our hens\ ✔️ Incredible at absorbing moisture and ammonia\ ✔️ Keeps the coop dry even in this brutal Texas humidity\ ✔️ Easy to sprinkle and blend with existing bedding\ \ I’ve noticed my hens are more content and healthier overall. Less moisture means fewer flies, cleaner eggs, and reduced risk of respiratory issues. It’s now a non-negotiable part of my coop cleaning and maintenance routine.\ \ If you’re serious about keeping a clean and healthy environment for your flock, Sweet Coop is an absolute must-have. I won’t run a chicken coop without it again.\ \ 💯 10/10 — Cluckin’ impressed!\ \ Colin Nelson](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/575914) \ \ ExcellentI've been using this watch for about 4 months. I was looking for a watch that would allow me to track all-day activities for a week without needing to charge. The battery is massive and the watch allows you to dial the satellite check in frequency down to extend it even further. I love the fact that I can load music and podcasts on here, sync my airpods, and leave my phone at home or in the car. It's so nice to not have to lug the smartphone brick along! The solar "charging" is a nice feature that further preserves battery on long backcountry trips. Paired with the gold standard Garmin connect app, you can track a ton of health metrics. A+ product.\ \ Andrew Wike](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/570193) \ \ Love it so much I bought in two different colorsOne of my favorite shirts in my wardrobe! From Scouting, to working out, to lounging around the house, This is a go-to for me. A+ breatheability, A+ quality, and excellent style. The Vortex apparel lineup has yet to disappoint me, which is why I keep coming back for more. Keep up the GREAT work Vortex! \ \ Colin Nelson](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/546406) \ \ Very GoodI've used these boots for two years hunting and trail hiking, covering over 70 miles in both the boggy, flat woodlands of the Carolinas and the steep terrain on the high plains of northwest Nebraska. I'm 6'4" and over 300 pounds. These boots feature sturdy but responsive soles with comfortable cushioning. Support and stability at the ankle is excellent. Minimal back-and-forth sliding of my feet in the footbed (a recurring and limiting problem for me in other boots and shoes, causing hotspots and chafe). Heel cup locks in nicely, no abrasion. The toebox, however, is a bit shallow overall and narrower than I'd like or expect from a 14EE. Laces stay tight and tied mile after mile. Not noticeably heavy on long days. Factory waterproofing delivers as advertised, however the soles squeak noticeably when walking on wet ground. I also observed a lack of grip on hard surfaces in wet conditions.\ \ Drew Tripp](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/540698) \ \ Calm and Collected I’ve been supplementing with reishi and ashwagandah stress support gummies from Charlotte’s Web for a few weeks now, and it has really helped level my anxiety. I’m not a chronically stressed person as it is, but the addition of this product to my morning routine has made addressing my morning work. I strangely also have not felt like I needed caffeine over the past few weeks, which may be due to the decreased stress levels. This improved sleep which gave me more energy to workout after work, a rarity in recent years. It seems to have had a compounding benefit effect.\ \ Zack Hanson](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/535824) \ \ Good glass, bad lighted reticle. Purchased this for my Ruger American 350 legend. Wanted a scope that was meant for that cartridge and I really like the lighted dot in the crosshair option. The glass is very clear and bright and I am excited to use this next week in deer season. The only reason I knocked off 2 stars was the lighted reticle dot. It was 6 setting with an off position between each setting. The first 4 settings were not visible right out of the box. I swapped out the CR2032 battery was able to see light on setting 4. I contacted Hawke about this thinking I had a dud. They replied that the first 3 settings were very dim and that I should be able to see them in complete darkness. I tried that and in complete darkness I still couldn't see settings 1 and 2. Customer service got back to me and set that was normal and have a nice day. I will have to see how the red illumination performs during our gun season and see if this is a scope worth keeping. \ \ Remington Ostrem](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/535553) \ \ Perfect Precision: The Practice Bullet Point That Made My First Deer Hunt a Success!I can’t say enough good things about the GSM Outdoors Practice Bullet Point 9/32” 100gr! These points performed flawlessly during my practice sessions, helping me hone my accuracy and confidence. That preparation paid off when I harvested my first deer—an unforgettable moment I owe in part to the consistency and precision these bullet points delivered. Whether you’re sharpening your skills or gearing up for your next hunt, these are a must-have for any archer!\ \ Colin Nelson](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/531795) \ \ Super ComfortI was looking for a large comfortable sleeping pad for canoe camping trips where weight and bulk are not as much of a problem. After my last canoe trip, where we slept in a shelter and I struggled to sleep on my lightweight backpacking pad while my wife slept soundly on her luxurious thick pad, I had to have one. This Big Agnes Captain Comfort pad does the trick. I could sleep on it at home. As long as you don't have weight and size constraints, this pad is great. It easy to inflate and deflate too. I would highly recommend. (I rated recommendation at 9/10 only because it is a specialized pad and suitable only for certain conditions and circumstances. Not what I would consider a "general purpose" pad.) Build quality is excellent.\ \ Andrew Monaghan](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/531093) \ \ One of my favorites shirts! The Vortex Optics Men’s Northern Heights Henley is an absolute game-changer. I wore it during my hike to the Mendenhall Glacier in Alaska, and it performed flawlessly. It kept me nice and warm without feeling bulky, and the moisture-wicking material breathed incredibly well, even during the more strenuous parts of the hike. The fit is spot on, and the quality is top-tier. Whether you’re tackling a glacier or just exploring the outdoors, this henley is a must-have. It’s comfortable, durable, and performs exactly as promised. Highly recommend!\ \ Colin Nelson](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/523128) \ \ ExcellentPurchased this for a 25 Creedmoor build I'm going to use for NRL Hunter matches next year. Shipping was fast and the price is right. Sent the barrel to Blue Mountain Precision for chambering, cutting, and threading. Decided on a 26 inch barrel to get some additional FPS. Mounted this onto a Zermatt Arms Origin action and found everything to proper spec. \ \ Adding an update to my review after 200 rounds. I've found this barrel to be extremely accurate. The attached photo is 50 shots into one ragged hole at 100 yards.\ \ Andrew Wike](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/520966) \ \ we love itThe install instruction were clean and easy to follow. We've been dialing it in while bird watching the summer. We put the magnets on the phone case which seemed to hold better that on the phone it's self. I've recommended this several people heading out west for vacation that don't have much experience. it's light weight and inexpensive compared to other models. make sure you play with it to what works best for you before season starts.\ \ Robert Land](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/518156) \ \ One of the best options in your apparel arsenal I have to say, this shirt is absolutely phenomenal! As someone who lives in Texas and spends a lot of time outdoors, finding the right apparel to withstand the intense heat while still looking stylish is a challenge. This shirt, however, ticks all the boxes.\ \ Firstly, the fabric is incredibly lightweight and breathable, which makes it perfect for the sweltering Texas summers. The moisture-wicking technology is top-notch, ensuring that even on the hottest days, I stay cool and dry. No more worrying about embarrassing sweat patches or feeling uncomfortable during long hikes or outdoor adventures.\ \ The design is another standout feature. The shirt has a modern and sleek look, with just the right amount of fit to be flattering without being restrictive. It’s versatile enough to wear for casual outings, yet it also fits in seamlessly at more formal outdoor events. The attention to detail in the stitching and the quality of the materials used are evident, making it a durable addition to my wardrobe.\ \ Additionally, the range of motion this shirt offers is exceptional. Whether I'm fishing, hiking, or just running errands, the shirt moves with me without any restriction. This makes it not just a stylish choice but a highly functional one as well.\ \ I've received numerous compliments on this shirt and have recommended it to friends and family without hesitation. It’s clear that Vortex Optics has put a lot of thought into creating a shirt that meets the needs of outdoor enthusiasts while still looking great. If you're in the market for a reliable, stylish, and high-performance shirt for the summer, the Men’s Alpine Cove Short Sleeve Shirt is a must-have!\ \ Colin Nelson](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/487314) \ \ Nice and cozyRecently took this on a test drive at Red River Gorge. Nights got down to 38°/42°/58°.\ \ On the coolest nights, I was only wearing a pair of light sleeping pants and a T-shirt, and I was plenty warm. On the night it hit 58, I unzipped and covered with a sheet because I was roasting. \ \ This was my first experience with a mummy bag, so there was a little learning curve. The only nitpick I'll make is that the cord on the zipper could be just a little longer. I had a broken arm, so managing the zipper with 1 hand took some finesse. Would have been absolutely fine with 2 able hands though, so not a criticism at all. \ \ Jenna Briggs](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/477104) \ \ The best chair I never knew I needed!Designed for active families, this chair offers unmatched comfort and good portability. The only thing keeping it from a 10 point score is that it's handle make it a little more cumbersome than some of the folding camp chairs. But, Its innovative rocker design allows you to relax and sway effortlessly while cheering on your little athlete. With a sturdy frame and padded armrests, it provides reliable support for hours of seating. Plus, its foldable design makes transportation a breeze. Elevate your game day experience, campsite, tailgate, or anything with the GCI Freestyle Rocker!\ \ Colin Nelson](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/475340) \ \ It’s very well made and love that it has several pockets. I don’t really like how it opens and closes. I would have preferred a more traditional flap design not this weird pull down style it has. Lastly, I found the harness confusing. I know I’m the most knowledgeable on bino harnesses but it took me longer then it should have to put the straps on and use it. \ \ Blake Pollard](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/471707) \ \ Super comfyLove this pad, super comfy. I was concerned about some reviews I'd seen about the pad not inflating all the way or only one side inflating. Full disclosure I did have this issue. All I had to do was let in inflate as much as it would, close the valves, and then rolled it lengthwise (hot dog style). This forced the other side to inflate and once I opened the valves again it inflated all the way. After doing that it inflates just as advertised. I will say that to get it as firm as I like it I had to leave just the orange valve closed and manually blow air into it. It literally only took me about 15 seconds to get it super firm so don't let that deter you. \ \ Michael Moulton](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/470842) \ \ The best got betterI have owned an original Deviator Hoodie for the last few years (6?7? can't remember). I loved it. It was the perfect midlayer for slightly colder days. I have emailed begging OR to make it again, and searched eBay and other sites for more to replace my original. I wore it the other day, even. But, today, I received the new one, and it blows the old one out of the water. Bigger grid fleece on the back and underarms, body mapped. Better insulation on the chest and sleeves. Softer, more comfortable material throughout. I wore a thin long sleeve baselayer and this today on a run in 35 degree weather and it was a touch too hot, but its such a good piece. \ Black will dress up nicely as a casual jacket on cool evenings, but I anticipate this becoming my go to nordic ski, winter running, and midlayer on cold ski days. \ \ Perry Hall](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/454086)
