\ \ Gregory continues to impress with the Baltoro 65!Spacious, efficient, light, and supportive are just a few areas where this backpack thrives. Gregory optimized this backpacking pack with efficient through-hiking and overnight backpack mountaineering in mind. Optimize your gear accessibility through conveniently placed functional storage. Sinch straps are located throughout for clean and secure gear hauling. Massive kudos to Gregory for sending me this free product in exchange for my honest review. The Gregory pack is my new overnight driver. I highly recommend the Baltoro 65 to professionals looking to upgrade their backpack mountaineering capabilities.\ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/641539) \ \ Nikon continues to impress! The Trailblazer II 10x25 is a dream come true. Small enough to bring on adventures in the backcountry and a magnification to bring your furthest dreams into grasp. Honestly, still surprised by how powerful these small binoculars are! It's incredible. Huge kudos to Nikon for sending me this product in exchange for my honest review. I highly recommend these binoculars to all individuals looking for the most versatile, industry-leading binocular that you will want to bring on all your future adventures!\ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/640114) \ \ Wow this might be the answerI’ve taken this bottle just about everywhere. It is simple and easy to use. Compared to other water filter products that were more of a pouch style this is still lightweight but much more durable and not prone to the same pinhole punctures. The flow rate is pretty quick too. \ I used this on hikes, bike rides, and in my day-day where water quality was questionable. A filter product is essential for me as someone who spends a lot of time in the backcountry as a guide and adventurer and this will definitely be my go-to this year. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a simple filtration solution whether traveling or in the backcountry. I’m excited to try it this summer while guiding on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. \ \ I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.\ \ Annika W.](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/638374) \ \ Great Cellular Trail Cam — Strong Performance, App Learning Curve + Subscription RealityI’ve been happy with the SpyPoint Flex Plus. The camera itself is solid: straightforward setup, reliable detection, and good photo/video quality. It’s also handled real mountain conditions at 8,600 feet in the Colorado Rockies (wind, cold, fast weather swings) without issue.\ \ Two practical tips that matter: plug in the LIT-22 batteries the moment you get them—they take a while to fully charge—and I highly recommend them over other battery options. Once everything is charged and deployed, this setup is genuinely hands-off. I haven’t had to mess with batteries.\ \ My critiques are more about the ecosystem than the camera. The SpyPoint app works, but it isn’t as intuitive as some other trail cam apps, so there’s a learning curve. And while there is a free transmission plan (100 photos/month), it’s so limited that I can’t imagine running the camera long-term without upgrading. The paid plans stack up fast (Basic/Standard/Premium tiers), and if you want the better tools/discounts, the $99/year Insiders Club is another layer that can feel like cost creep.\ \ One more note: requesting HD photos can take hours to download, and in my experience the difference from the standard transmitted photos wasn’t always obvious, so it may not be worth doing unless you really need the highest resolution image.\ \ Bottom line: excellent hardware and field performance—just go in with eyes open about the app learning curve, HD download delays, and the ongoing plan/membership decisions that come with cellular.\ \ Suzi McKinley](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/635902) \ \ Built for Real Weather, Keeps Cameras RunningI’ve been really happy with the SpyPoint Flex Plus solar panel. It’s a quality piece of gear and easy to use right out of the box. Plug it in as soon as you get it—it takes longer than you’d think to fully charge the first time, and starting with a full charge makes setup effortless.\ \ Once installed, it’s been reliable in harsh weather up here at 8,600 feet in the Colorado Rockies and has been genuinely hands-off. It provides steady power and trickle charging, and my LIT-22 batteries stay at 100%, so the system is clearly keeping everything topped off. I haven’t had to change batteries yet.\ \ Mounting is straightforward, and the included webbing straps are heavy-duty and long enough for large trees, so it’s easy to secure and position. Overall, it’s a rugged, dependable upgrade that makes running the Flex Plus feel set-it-and-forget-it.\ \ Suzi McKinley](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/635901) \ \ Industry-Leading Professional WarmthOutdoor Research absolutely crushed it with the Helium XT Down Hoodie. I can confidently say this is the warmest, most durable puffy in my quiver and undoubtedly my new favorite insulated jacket. The Helium XT Down jacket is tough enough to be an outer layer on crisp, dry days and compact enough to fit in your pack or layer under an OR Gore-Tex shell. With confidence, I highly recommend this puffer to anyone seeking industry-leading, professional warmth. I'm honored that OR gave me this free product to test in exchange for my honest review. Massive kudos to Outdoor Research, once again, outdoing themselves.\ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/633847) \ \ Perfect all around shoeI love the lone peak 7. I've been using mine as my everyday shoe as well as my go to hiking shoe. The wide toe box combined with the grippy sole is perfect for practically any activity I'm in. I have worn these all day and have all the support I need. Whether you're looking for a casual every day shoe or need it for some tough hiking, these fit the bill. They do tend to fit snug so it might make sense to size up a half size, especially if you're going to be wearing them with thicker socks. \ \ Wade French](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/629087) \ \ Clear & Stable Binoculars for Magnified ScoutingHuge kudos to the Nikon family for these incredible premium binoculars. After extensive field tests, I can confidently say I am impressed! The PROSTAFF P3 10x42 showcases Nikon's industry-leading products. As a backcountry ski guide, you can find me carrying these binoculars as part of my core, essential gear. I've been searching for a pair of binoculars for a few years now and have been honestly overwhelmed by the options. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I can confidently recommend these binoculars to outdoor professionals seeking next-level scouting and beta gathering. \ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/624714) \ \ Excellent Solution fro the Side SleeperThe Sidewinder SL is now my go-to bag for just about any adventure. A lifelong side sleeper, the configuration of almost every mummy bag on the market technically worked for me, but always made for constant shifting, tossing, turning, adjusting, etc. The Side winder just makes my sleep out in the field that much easier. I've also been very impressed by the warmth of this 20 degree bag. I would say it is a rare example of a bag that truly delivers the warmth of it's degree rating. And big agnes inclusion of both a stuff sack and larger half mesh storage bag add some nice value. I couldn't be happier with the Sidewinder. \ \ Kevin Evers](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/599350) \ \ I love drinking cold mountain water straight from the winter snow melt. Katadyn Group's water filter absolutely impressed me. Fabulous quality, functionality, and built to last. Katadyn gave me this free product to try. I look forward to many adventures, hydrating with cold Colorado river water. \ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/569302) \ \ Gregory absolutely hit it out of the park with this pack. Gregory gave me this free product to try. I am so incredibly impressed with the functionality, versatility, and quality. This pack can do it all. From stylish frisbee golf/work days to conquering 14ers. The Gregory pack is my new daily driver. There's a side zip pocket for easy secure storage, as well as a large oversized water bottle holder that stretches to fit all bottle sizes securely. I also love the stretchy waist strap. Makes for an insanely comfy fit. I absolutely recommend this product to professionals looking to upgrade their daily driver.\ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/564398) \ \ I'm more than impressed with the Sawyer Squeeze Filter and 1 Liter Bottle. Sawyer Products gave me this free product to try. I have tested numerous water filtration systems, and this takes them all. Lightweight, functional, customizable, and simple. Sawyer knocked this product out of the park. Kudos to the Sawyer team. I 100% recommend this product to all professional athletes who are looking for a lightweight, industry-leading water filtration system.\ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/563803) \ \ Go to Mug for Daily and Adventure Use with Fantastic 2-in-1 Design. The Stanley Cafe To Go Travel Mug is perfect for adventuring and daily use. Stanley gave me this free product to try. The mug can utilize the sip lid with screw on lid, or you can make the mug more compact with just the screw on lid. I appreciate the simplicity of this mug and the functionality of the 2-in-1 design. I recommend this to professionals who want the perfect go-to mug for everyday hot beverage use with the ability to bring soup/hot beverages on mountain adventures in a compact, functional fashion. \ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/563254) \ \ Promote Recovery from Intense Training with KT Health Soothe Magnesium Cream with LavenderKT Health Soothe improved my recovery speed noticeably across trail running, mountain biking, and ski touring, offering significant relief from pain and stiffness. KT Tape gave me this free product to try. Post-application, I felt more mobile and ready to train. After an intense day of training, this cream drastically improved my muscles' ability to continue training, reducing soreness and promoting maximum-intensity training by minimizing rest days. The cream was easy to apply. The lavender scent was pleasant and contributed to a sense of calm during and after use, enhancing relaxation and a speedy recovery. I recommend this product to professionals seeking intense training.\ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/563248) \ \ Eye HealthCountry Life® Vitamins Lutein & Zeaxanthin Gummies stand out for their great taste and noticeable benefits. Light, grippy, and built for a go-to daily driver. \ \ ALTRA gave me this free product to try.\ True to size.\ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/547154) \ \ WOW the BEST EVER MADE The Julbo Fury REACTIV 0-3 are 10/10 the best glasses I've ever had. 24 hours a day; I can be seen wearing them. The photochromic technology is beyond impressive, from night tours/ night mountain biking to bluebird resort skiing and daytime festivals to nighttime raves. Dialed. And they never ever fog. People think I change the lens/have two different glasses. When in reality, the Fury REACTIV 0-3 goes from crystal clear night protection to polarized sun protection. I will continue to be loyal to these shades for millions of adventures to come. Cheers to the Julbo Team! Y'all knocked it out of the universe with the Julbo Fury REACTIV 0-3 product. Fury gang.\ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/544720) \ \ Wow! Love the tread, love the cushion. I feel like I can walk forever in them and vibram soles feel like a must these days. I found that after 9+ miles or 80°+ heat that the shoes started to feel hot. I wonder if that’s because of the cushy tongue? Overall I enjoyed the cushion but I think I prefer less cushion on longer hikes so I can feel the terrain under my feet better. I haven’t tested them on a scramble/scree field navigation yet, but I’m worried I might roll my ankle with this much cushion. These have become a daily driver for me. I use them for everything from the bike path to local trails and beyond. Grab yourself pair!\ \ Annika W.](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/491026) \ \ it's okayIt's great for side sleeping. Like really good for side sleepers-- surprisingly effective for how thin it is, no bottoming out. But I'm a back sleeper, and I find, like most pads, it still does the thing where my butt and shoulders sink into the pad and my stomach/middle back gets popped up into an unnatural curve. \ Not sure about longevity yet. Camped on it at around 5C recently-- it was warm enough but probably wouldn't handle much colder. I don't think I'd rely on it if it were below zero-- you'd need some extra protection from the cold ground. It's not that light weight or compact, not for the ultralight people. \ \ Andrea G.](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/487998) \ \ It cuts, but not quicklyI bought this flip saw to replace a red and black plastic handled folding saw that I have been using on trails for 20ish years. I wanted to like this saw, it is compact, comes with a carrying case, feels well-made, is sharp. But it did in 20 minutes what my old cheap saw would have done in 5 minutes. I was cutting a 6" branch to clear a trail. When I compared the saws later, I could see that the teeth on the Outdoor Edge saw are much smaller and closer together. Maybe this saw would be better for cutting bone, or rocks, just not branches/downed trees. \ \ Edward Brandenstein](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/484401) \ \ Fit & Function for the fieldI’ve used a fair amount of bino harnesses, and this one by far is perfect for scouting/everyday. I like the kangaroo style, and the formed/framed lid that prevents it from collapsing. I could honestly wear this harness all day in the field just simply by the design I can’t even tell it’s there. \ \ Eric Schmitz](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/478499) \ \ New Favorite Go-To Wow, the Freewheel Half Zip Hoodie made by Outdoor Research is an incredible masterpiece that exceeds my expectations. Although intended for MTBing, it's my favorite touring layer, and I can't wait to use the Freewheel on my MTB once the snow melts. Whether hitting an alpine trail or local flow, this layer performs and is "smart." It keeps me warm when I'm cold, and when I start to work up a sweat, it manages to keep me cool. Outdoor Research gave me this product to try, and it's replacing my previous go-to layers. The Freewheel is my new favorite lightweight outerwear for all mountain expeditions. A side note ~ when paired with the OR Echo hoodie, you can comfortably and stylishly endeavor on anything and everything the mountains throw your way.\ \ Drew Frank](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/464389) \ \ Ridiculously fun to surf the backcountry with!If you are looking for a surfy volume shift board to slash, carve and have a huge grin on your face in the face, this is the one!\ \ After riding lots of longer boards over the years I opted to match my resort style for the BC, and it was worth it. The weight is low especially since you will size down, so it keeps you fresher on the way up. \ \ Touring the wider planks, was not a problem even with skiers cutting the track ahead of me. Not to mention super easy to kick turn in tight funky trees on the way up.\ \ Having the corners raised helps a lot to keep it afloat and never really had any issues with edge hold.\ \ Highly recommend picking one up. 5'8 170lbs and I opted for the 151 with no regrets! \ \ Nathan B.](https://www.expertvoice.com/review/461452)
